Estimated 10,000 people are untraceable since the beginning of the Kashmir conflict

A Kashmiri woman whose relative has gone missing holds a placard at a protest marking International Human Rights Day in Srinagar. According to the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP), estimated 8,000-10,000 people are untraceable since the beginning of the Kashmir conflict in 1989, after being arrested by Indian security forces and other security agencies.
